Composite insulators have high anti-bending and anti-torsional strength, light weight, high anti-fouling grade and easy installation. They are commonly used for high-voltage insulation support and mechanical support in major power stations and for mechanical interconnection between high-voltage conductors and line towers in transmission and substation lines to ensure electrical insulation between towers and conductors.
